14:04 Celebrating Literacy Week 2015

Pre-K celebrated Literacy Week! And on Wednesday, January 28th at 9 A.M. we participated in the simultaneous read across the state. Mr. Cady, our Principal surprised our Pre-K students! He was very animated as he read aloud: Time To Rest, by Denise Fleming. A lovely, entertaining story about Bear and her animals friends getting ready for Winter! Mr. Turbeville, a Rotary member, came in at 1:30 for the P.M. class. The students enjoyed the story and were so happy to take home their own book: TIME TO REST, purchased by the Rotary Club for the VPK children in our area!

This coming week, we shall continue reading aloud and enjoying each student's "favorite book", which they brought to share with their classmates. As we do so, we continue to review the following: Author, Illustrator, main character(s), Fiction/Non-fiction.
