Civics Block 1 (Period Block 2 8:55 - 9:55)

Course Description

Civics is defined as "the study or science of the privileges and obligations of citizens". Moreover, Civic education is the study of the theoretical, political and practical aspects of citizenship, as well as its rights and duties.

In order to understand our rights and duties, we must first understand the political structure of our Government (federal, state and local). Each students success is measured by a state administered exam since this is a guided curriculum required by the state.
