Important Information on Reopening Policies and Procedures.

. now you're good everybody Welcome to the Facebook live that we're having here today 4:30 so I'm glad you're here for a few people that also show up to we want to go ahead and get started on the things that we are going to be opening up here and we're so glad to be able to start school it's going to be a boy how long is it been already about 5 5 months or so since we've been to school with everybody so this is a great time. and they've been working really hard getting things together working with her teacher you had some meet the teacher virtual things today like a first time we did meet the teacher virtually and so is this a hoping that that work and I appreciate your understanding if there's an issue for your understanding with that so thanks so much what's a 360 worth Construction Construction second floor be ready for next Ross going to have a new buildings are going on things like that form as well another night another new thing we're starting employment is what we have of course and yes we're going to have a nice code for parrot so look forward to that we're all one Community were a group we're on the same team and I think we're working together so that I can give you one example of what I keep all your social media posts cuz we're all on the same team you want to encourage each other and make sure we keep things positive I'm here in front of me some paperwork that we went through we have about we've been working hard this summer and we have any outfit policy for how we're going to start out with a procedure safety safety precaution plan we have a 36 point cleaning and what will work detailed last night last night actually actually uploaded details on the website to when you get to the homepage click on the parent link important documents and right there highlight a few for you so you have some idea what where do I'm here course which all these things were taking into count CDC guidelines for a little bit with each other when trying to figure out what is going to be for this school and what is it going to be too vast for this community and we definitely want to make sure that we're keeping everybody safe here absolutely top priority with that so with that said our policy covid-19 employee policy in policy things like that to the board actually approved back on August 3rd so is that the definition of close contact close contact in Sterling I understand what that's about important what that means why we have a that is important what if and I had this question quite a bit so I wanted to dress it what if there is a positive, it doesn't mean anything like that the nurse will get involved involved take a look at it where is the closest contact there is a two or three that I will be involved has positive is actually tested positive for that person is going to be out of school at the time from when the symptoms started its 10 days has to be a 44 hour. no fever without medications and things like that no fever for 24 hours but it's more round this this one that has a positive results from the time that he started to be 14 days from the last contact that maybe saw on the central healthy but had close contact so that's why I've been to this to the teacher very very important can we try and make sure we keep the clothes contacts away and we've done a lot of things to make sure that that that's put in place and that would be really careful cuz you wanted starting we want everyone to feel at ease you want people to think that hey it's a safe place to be when we put in a lot of things in place as far some of our procedures here and I will touch you on one of the procedures that we have is temperature taking so in the mornings when you guys come to the school you'll be healed several people lined up chords opening doors and things like that. Taking temperatures of the kids just before they come up with is what we're looking at more than 100.0 group of people in that car and then we'll contact the nurse at that time those kids still can actually come to school to do an Innovative type plan and actually do some of the zoom zoom things at that point we will go ahead at that point will contact you contact everyone the nurse will be in touch with you it'll be fine everything you want. alright in addition and will in and you will get a feel get actually in a of a piece of paper explaining what we needed for teachers staff students parents take to make sure that you actually take temperature before you come one who comes on campus to feel good and to be and be healthy so that's said also if the kids is not feeling good as it has been vomiting diarrhea chills type of Angus you know it you know it or has a fever and please do keep them at home and we'll make sure that we take care of that as well with all this contact the board recommended strong he recommended this is our policy that kind of went along with what Columbia County was doing here are strongly recommended if there is a myth social distancing is not an option so we want to make sure that they'll be a group and I'll be talking with the group in a small group The say hey we strongly recommend close contact was put face masks on and I think very important for all staff students visitors and then like that that's going to be the actual policy for that okay so we do I did what I did want to make sure that you guys understand a lot of thought was put into that policy the board had a big discussion about it last night thinking okay we have a lot of different options and we understand I understand there's a lot of different views and some people may lean one way some people made me leave, so how do we find a middle ground but still keep everyone safe who are not being we definitely not being Cavalier okay this way with the teachers being there they're keeping I want to do everything I can to keep the close contact to keep everyone away there's not a lot of close contact but also keep everyone safe and so this was a very very well-thought-out and this is what the as far as for a policy their self face mask we also have an Innovative plan available for those are concerned about coming to school coming to the brick-and-mortar I know many of you already had we had to Innovative a virtual meeting today anyone was there that have that available and I'll just make sure either way you decide there's two decisions you're going to go in Nevada with the kiddos or I'm going to go back and we at least sent out an email do you have one or two pieces of paper to fill out one is the end of soundtrack do you want to go that route the other one is just a waiver we ask you to fill that out if you're coming brick-and-mortar so again we're starting on the 17th we ready to have everyone here and we want to do everything uniforms are going to be required okay so if you're doing video conferencing into the classroom uniform shirt or uniform hoodie or something like that so going to have that just so you just where that is well I thought I'd say that it's very structured and everything like that alright I did want to the nitty-gritty you know we mention taking temperatures the hundred degrees very very important to take the temperature is home so there's no I should come in here but we will do whatever he want to help you here teacher training today in training to make sure that they understand you know training making sure we're not touching our face those type of things the teacher to be monitoring for symptoms and just trying to keep everyone to make sure everyone's healthy there we're going to have procedures we went through this train with the teachers to as well procedures everyone's help on that weekend Christina making sure we're keeping airplane arms when we're getting in line different things like that so again now on the website so you can check those out we have a lot of reacting to hate this family stay here the next you say 6 feet apart as we're doing this or just do everything we can to make sure that we are doing the best we can to keep cool on academics and then just being the best kids possible we also we're all ready to go in the school so make sure that your kids have water bottles Jacob the drinking fountains for not having everyone go down and if you know how some kids some people actually put their mouth on the water faucet if you know that's something that we don't want to do that so they're touched Waterford on campus food as well but I did want to make sure you were aware of that we also have one procedures of the kids come out and we have the. Sanders in the invented the different social distancing.
